NATSIC Disability Sports Program

The NATSIC Disability Sports Program (NDSP) is an initiative to provide financial assistance to individuals, teams, clubs or events for people with disability to realise their dreams to play in organised sports. This is an area, we have come to understand, that is significantly underfunded and under supported. NATSIC has supported the Physical Disability Rugby League match between teams representing the Gold Coast Titans and Northern United Aboriginal Rugby League Club at the annual Lismore Knockout, two young netball players from Adelaide to play in the National Aboriginal Netball Carnival recently held in Tasmania, and a young female AFL player who is a member of the North Coast Academy of Sports. Without NATSIC’s support these athletes may not have been able to participate in their chosen sport. NATSIC has also financially supported other events such as the Lismore Knockout, FIGS Golf Day, Ella 7’s and the APY Lands (Central Australia) Football and Softball Carnival.
